Description: Challenging Conversations in a Time of Crisis training addresses questions that so many groups find themselves facing right now about communicating across differences, discussing core values and long-held beliefs in the workplace. The NY Peace Institute has updated their traditional conflict resolution skills and de-escalation skills training to make sure that it is tailored to meet this new moment in time. We tailor each training to the needs of the group that we are working with. We also put our training to practice, mediating disputes in the workplace and facilitating conversations within organizations, as well as national and local conversations about policing and other important issues.

Intended Audience: Aging service professionals (Please note: This session will be open only to LiveOn NY members and will be capped at 25 attendees)

Continuing Education*: This training is eligible for 3 Contact Hours for New York State Licensed Master Social Workers (LMSW) & Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSW)

*Please note: In order to be awarded Continuing Education Contact Hour, LMSWs or LCSWs MUST be present for the entire educational session and complete an evaluation form that includes full name as listed on license, license type (i.e. LMSW or LCSW), and license number.
