Presentation: City Advocacy Training

Speaker: Kevin J. Kiprovski, Director of Public Policy, LiveOn NY

Description: Join our April Boots on the Ground Roundtable for a City Advocacy Training. Through this session, you will gain a deeper understanding of the city budget process, how the services it funds impacts us as we age, and how you can get involved in LiveOn’s advocacy work in the coming months.

Additionally, we will review the systemic needs of the aging services sector and provide you with all of the necessary materials to prepare for advocacy meetings with your City Council members. By the end of this session, you will have the tools and knowledge to effectively communicate your needs and concerns to your local elected officials and advocate for the needs of older adults in your community.

Lastly, you’ll have actionable takeaways and resources, as well as know what to expect and how to get involved in LiveOn’s work to #AdvocateforAgingNYC.
