Senior league fights to stay alive, alongside local leaders.
Dozens of local seniors and a group of Forest Hills politicians came together Thursday morning to fight for one of the only glatt kosher senior centers in Queens.
The center will be forced to close unless funds eliminated from Gov. Andrew Cuomo's budget proposal are restored before the budget is ratified.
The rally was organized by City Councilwoman Karen Koslowitz, D-Forest Hills, and was attended by State Sen. Toby Ann Stavisky, District Manager Frank Gulluscio, Assemblyman Andrew Hevesi, Borough President Helen Marshall and City Councilman David Greenfield, of Brooklyn.
