KEEP SENDING LETTERS!

Thank you! Thanks to your dedication to keeping all senior centers open, you all not only hit the 10,000 mark of the thermometer in our last alert, but bust your way through it to more than 11,000 letters! Please let each person that signed a letter know how important this is and thank them.

Don't stop now! If your agency hasn't sent any letters or there are more letters you could get signed, keep doing it. You can send letters through December – but the earlier you send them and the more is better because Governor Cuomo is putting together his budget now. We will keep you updated on how many letters have been sent.

Next steps! It is very important to let your State Assemblymember and Senator and City Councilmember know about the letters you sent and ask them to publicly oppose any cut to Title XX funding for senior centers.
