WOW ! YOU ARE ALL THE BEST!

17,000 LETTERS DELIVERED TO MAYOR BLOOMBERG
OPPOSING 30% CUT TO CASE MANAGEMENT!

On December 14th, CSCS, its members, seniors and City Councilmembers held a press conference inside City Hall. We delivered 17,000 letters to Mayor Michael Bloomberg opposing the devastating 30% cut to homebound elders.

If you have any more letters, please mail them to CSCS. We will send them to Mayor Bloomberg. We want to track how many letters in total were finally done.

CSCS thanks its members and seniors across the city for showing your commitment to services for older New Yorkers. This cut has been called “cruel”, “inhumane” and “heartless” by Councilmembers and others.

As New Yorkers, we believe that “when you see something, do something”. Supporting older New Yorkers should be priority of the Bloomberg administration.

CSCS appreciates that Speaker Christine Quinn, Aging Chair, Councilwoman Jessica Lappin and City Council have made the case management restoration a top priority. They are currently in negotiations with the Mayor’s office of management and budget (OMB).

As good New Yorkers, when we know something, we say something – we will keep you updated.
